Born and raised in Honolulu, Fran Fong has worked in the Windward area of O‘ahu for over 15 years. She received her BFA from the California College of Arts in Oakland, CA., with a focus on fiber and textiles. Over the years, she has been the proprietor of several art businesses, such as Paint The Town Hawaii (hand-painted wooden items) and Little Mango (lino-cut print babywear).  She then taught elementary school art in the DOE for 9 years. 

In 2012, she founded After School Art Studio--a traveling art enrichment program inspired by her passion for helping young students develop a lifelong enjoyment for the visual arts. After School Art Studio focuses on art enrichment through unconventional mediums, narrative-driven projects, and a strong belief in a student's free creativity.
